**Why Did We Make a 24 Karat Fingerboard?**

We didn’t make a 24 karat gold fingerboard because it was practical. We made it because we could—and because saying “no” just because something seems illogical has never been our style.

At its core, this project was about pushing ourselves, testing boundaries, and elevating our craft. Fingerboarding has grown from a humble niche into a serious, vibrant sport, and the humble fingerboard deserves far more respect than another cheap plastic graphic. Why not give it the gold leaf treatment it’s earned?

### Because Fun Matters

I left a stable career to build boards for a reason. If I wanted to spend my days duplicating the same design in a factory-like setting, I would have stayed in that old job. Crafting should be joyful. It should spark excitement. This 24k gold board was pure fun—a bold statement and a fantastic talking point that got people talking about fingerboarding in a whole new way.

It also felt like a natural extension of what we’ve been building lately. We’ve already pioneered **NFC-enabled fingerboards**—the world’s first—and we’re deep into developing **Tricklogger**, our performance-tracking software. The gold board continues that same spirit: layering innovation, technology, and artistry on top of a sport we love.

### Pushing the Sport Forward

In the end, we only limit ourselves by the boundaries of our imagination. While we proudly offer accessible ranges of high-quality, more affordable boards, this luxury piece serves a different purpose. It grabs attention, sparks conversations, and brings extra coverage to the entire fingerboarding community—the coverage we’ve worked so hard to earn.

We’re especially proud that the gold used is **Vietnamese**. It adds another meaningful layer: showcasing local craftsmanship on a global stage and shining a light on Vietnam’s growing role in the fingerboarding world.

We make boards because we love the craft. Sometimes that means practical innovation. Sometimes it means going all the way to 24 karat gold just to see how it feels under your fingers.

And if you thought the gold board was unusual… just wait. We’ve done something even more unexpected with our boards recently, and our new products launching soon carry exactly the same boundary-pushing mentality. Stay tuned—our own in-house production of high-performance polyurethane wheels drops in May.

Because if you can’t have fun as a craftsman, what’s the point?
