We custom-make boards right here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Our wood is 100% imported Canadian maple of the highest quality. This, along with epoxy resin throughout the 5 glue lines, allows our boards to remain thin yet maintain their flexibility and strength.
We use time-proven techniques involving cold pressing of the veneers. By allowing them to bend over time, you don't have to stress the wood with steam and then dry it from 200c+. A normal factory-made skateboard takes just 13 seconds to form, ours vary from 3-10 hours depending on the type of board we are making and we are limited to the number of boards we put into our press (3-4 is usual).
Having been a guest in this amazing country for over 13 years, I have seen the quick rise of skateboarding and the amount of talent there is (all genders). Some of the tricks I have seen are things I have never heard of or even imagined. That is the beauty of skateboarding, it is an art, not a sport. Each person has a very unique style and types of tricks.
I got my first board in 1988 aged 10. And yes, it did save my life.
Skating is for everyone. It has nothing to do with age, gender or anything else. This is why skateboarding is special, it brings people together in a special bond.
